Free Speech? Not Necessarily.

">"> The freedom of expression? Necessarily.Recent events in the news I was thinking about the idea of freedom of expression. Of course, I fully support the right of all persons to express their views and opinions and be heard, so to speak. But with the right to express a viewpoint comes the inevitable backlash associated with it when someone chooses to test the limits of that right. By example, even if we have the right to say almost anything we want there are "limits" we can not cross. You can not shout "fire in a crowded place like a tower because of the risks injuries and deaths when the terrified crowd stampedes to the exit, and you can not even mention the word "bomb" on an airplane or in the airport for obvious reasons. And there are other examples, all that I classify in the category of "using your common sense." Bill Maher recently used his popular cable show to trash both the Pope and the Catholic Church. After calling Catholicism a "cult" that promotes "paedophili! a organized, "he said:" I want to tip off law enforcement to an even greater abuse of children of religious worship, "Maher told his audience." His head was also a composed, and this not only outside the boundaries of the law, but he used to be a Nazi and he wears funny hats. That's right, the Pope is coming to America and this week, ladies, it is unique. "Although Maher has the right to say what he wants, he clearly uses his show" Step "perhaps reaching millions of people with his vile descriptions of the Pope and the Catholic Church. I think when people know they have reached a wide audience, they tend to override assault anyone or whatever they are going after, especially because they know he will do instant national If not the world, information in this era of global media coverage. And, therefore, more publicity for themselves. And, of course, it was wrong on the Pope is a Nazi, but this he has to do is make excuses for his next show and everything is forgiven. It will! not be held responsible in any way and he knows more people l! istening to his show to see what d secondly it does.On the other hand, it is going trial of former actress and sex symbol Brigitte Bardot in france. She is on trial for inciting racial hatred after insulted Muslims, saying " The Muslim community is destroying our country and imposing its acts. "This is the fifth time Bardot faces charges of incitement to racial hatred. Previously, she regretted what she called" the Islamization of France. "Is not it interesting to note that these two cases very similar, with both Maher and Bardot insult the great religions of the world, could have different consequences for both speakers.Lastly, an extreme example to talk about the opposite end of "free speech" spectrum. Younis Al-Astal, a member of parliament from Hamas, said recently that the destruction of Israel is only a precursor to Islam domination World. "Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered - the capital of their would be an outpost for the Islamic conquests, which spreads acros! s Europe as a whole - and then turn to the two Americas and even Eastern Europe, "he said. Freedom of expression is a wonderful thing, it enables ordinary citizens to have a say in what happens in their communities and country, and allows a right to speak out against injustice without fear of reprisal. It may, however, also be used as a weapon that Samuri as sharp as a sword, able to terrorize a person, group of persons or even an entire nation . I submit to you that there is nothing "free" on freedom of expression. It is a right which was won for us through wars and bloodshed, and was paid with countless lives. It is not a tool to be used unfairly and with malice by those who wish to promote themselves or their agendas.By: Matt-SpeakArticle Directory: http://www.articledashboard.commatt- speak.blogspot.com /
